Erin & David Jaggard

Erin and Dave's Love Story...

Erin and Dave met at Perth Airport on their way to a mutual friend's wedding. Dave best mate was marrying Erin's Best friend and they were both in the Bridal Party. It was love at first sight and became inseparable from that day forward.

Within 3 years they became the proud proud parents of their first child Finleigh followed by Remy 2 years later.

The Proposal...

Five years after they had first met Dave finally proposed. Dave traditionally got down on one knee and proposed to Erin on the boardwalk in Airlie Beach. Erin had no idea and was completely taken by surprise. Dave also picked out the ring himself which Erin absolutely loved.

Their Wedding Style.....

Erin choice of decor kept evolving the whole time she was planning the wedding. Erin had no particular wedding colours in mind at the beginning but the style turned out to be a mixture of Coastal and boho and beachy elements .

Decorative elements consisted of white florals, soft green succulents and eucalyptus leaves mixed with natural grey driftwood pieces with brown hessian undertones.

"it all came together so beautifully..even better than I had visualised"

Erin and Dave played host to their 76 guests at the Whitsunday Marine Club water-side venue. They chose a very relaxed layout where guests could choose seating at either tables, cluster seating areas, side bench seats or around Dry Bars and Wine Barrels.

Wedding Budget...

Erin and Dave planned the whole wedding themselves. Their Wedding budget was $10,000. They chose to splurge on music but felt it was worth every penny. They saved on decor by providing the table decor themselves.

"invest in music and food!. The music is the entertainment for the night, the fun part, it gets everyone up and dancing! Food is very important. It's a special day. Eat well!"

Wedding Memories...

The ceremony was the most special part of their day. It was very personal and incorporated their children which was really important to them.

" our most memorable moment was out first dance! We hadn't planned on doing one but we were urged by our M.C. It ended up being spontaneous and fun to a song that happened to remind us of each other"

The Whitsundays...

Erin and Dave chose the Whitsundays as not only is it their home.."it's paradise". Erin grew up in the Whitsundays and Erin and Dave's children were also born here.

"The best thing about having a wedding in the whitsundays is that your guests tend to stay for longer because it is a holiday destination, so your wedding feels like its more wholesome rather than 1 day.."

Pre & Post Wedding....

Erin and Dave chose to stay at Mirage Whitsundays the night of their wedding as it was close to their venue.

They had a meet and greet at the Anchor Bar in Airlie Beach the night before their wedding. Their recovery day the day after the wedding was spent at the Northerlies Beach Bar and Grill. The Majoirty of their guests travelled so Erin wanted to make sure there were plenty of opportunities to catch up!
