Marquee magic at Freedom Shores 🌿

Set on the Beach Shack Lawn at Freedom Shores Airlie Beach, this beautiful formal wedding reception brought together elegant marquee styling with the natural tropical beauty of the Whitsundays. The marquee was dressed for a formal seated reception, with a dedicated bridal table and banquet round tables circling the dance floor, Above, we created and installed bespoke faux floral garlands, layering lush greenery, trailing white florals and hanging ferns throughout the marquee ceiling. Fairy lights were woven amongst the foliage, adding a soft, magical glow and creating the feeling of dining beneath a tropical garden.

The table styling was designed to bring a touch of colour and romance to the crisp white setting. The centrepieces featured three different sized glass vessels arranged on mirrored bases, filled with water and blue and purple galaxy orchids. Floating candles added a warm flicker amongst the flowers, while the mirrored bases reflected the candlelight and delicate orchid details. The rich jewel tones of the galaxy orchids were carried through to the seating with purple and blue alternate chair sashes, creating a cohesive colour palette against the fresh white linen.

With the lush gardens and glimpses of the Whitsunday coastline surrounding the marquee, the overall design was created to complement rather than compete with the natural setting. From the handcrafted faux floral garlands overhead to the glowing fairy lights, floating galaxy orchids and carefully styled tables, every detail came together to create an elegant and romantic tropical wedding reception, perfectly suited to the beautiful Beach Shack Lawn at Freedom Shores, Airlie Beach.
