Updated: Mar 29, 2021

Soft pinks, champagne and ivories tones and a lovely relaxed vibe were some of the key elements at Jade and Trent's beautiful waterside wedding at The Whitsunday Marine Club.
Jade and Trent Chose the Whitsundays to get married not only because of it's natural beauty but also to showcase visiting family an friends their beautiful home.
Their Love Story…
Trent and Jade met 11 years ago at the lagoon.. a summer romance with their first kiss sealed at Magnums to a forever love.
The Proposal...
Trent proposed to Jade about 3 years after they met, very sweetly on the beach at sundown... However! After 5 years Jade told him his ring had expired and if he still wanted to marry her he would have to propose again so he did! This time with the kids help. It was super special especially as Jade didn’t know it was happening!
"...they all called my name and as I turned around he was on his knee and the kids held a sign asking me to marry him...".
The Wedding Ring...
Jade's wedding ring was very heartfelt. Trent gathered Jade's two engagement rings, plus two rings Jade's mum had passed down to her plus a very special diamond Jade's Nana had left her when she passed away.
Trent worked with local jeweller Aurealis Creative Jewellery to turn the rings and diamond into a beautiful new piece of his own design.
"It is the most precious gift I could have asked for. The moment of our vowels was the first time I saw the ring. ♥️"

Your Wedding Style…
Jade had been planning he dream wedding for years, but officially had 7 months to pull it together. Jade organised most of the wedding herself but also enlisted the services of Divine Weddings to assist with a range of wedding details.
It was a very relaxed wedding with 55 Adults and 10 children with unmarked seating so guests could relax and mingle. As Jade wanted a very laid back, romantic vibe she decided on soft colours: light pinks, champagne and ivory.
Wedding Budget…
$13k. They Splurged on hiring the services of the professionals for the set up, decorating and styling (but was still within their budget). They saved on Jade's wedding dress at a bargain $150, had a family friend take the photos and food by self-catering. Everyone was so willing to help out with the catering but Jade found it put a lot of stress and pressure on family and friends. Jade and Trent's wedding budget was
"... if you have a bigger budget than we did I would say get a caterer in..".
Wedding Memories…
Jade's most memorable moment was "the Kiss". Jade explains how nice it was to have the formalities of the ceremony complete and the excitement for the celebrations to come was building.
"It was a really special moment and a chance for me to spend a quiet moment
with my new Hubby"
After the Ceremony Jade and Trent and their Bridal Party spent some time at the Sorrento Bar after having their photos and enjoyed a cold drink and a laugh before heading back to the party.
"I
Wedding Suppliers…
Cost was a major factor in choosing suppliers for their wedding but also Jade chose suppliers that were nice.
"For my make-up I chose one of the best vendors in town...she was amazing!"
"Louise from Divine Weddings hands down most amazing help throughout my whole wedding.
Couldn’t fault her prices, service, detail, effort, she is amazing."
"My celebrant Colleen Farry was a absolute darling.
She was so easy to warm to and a pleasure to have marry us".
"Sonja from Aurealis jewellers in Airlie who created my beautiful ring was just wonderful ".
"Carnie/Lee Airlie hair and makeup did amazing things with my hair last minute, and she was so super lovely to have around while we were getting ready. A breath of fresh air".
Wedding Tips...
"Don’t take on too much yourself. Organise and delegate well enough before the day, that when the day comes you can relax through it and enjoy".
The Whitsundays…
Jade and Trent chose the Whitsundays as it is where they fell in love, but also because its just beautiful. They have always said it’s the most beautiful place in Australia ♥️
Jade tells us that the the best thing about having a wedding in the Whitsundays is that it is not only close to their home but a chance to show off their beautiful town to their friends and family. They spent a lot of time before and after the wedding with their visiting family and friends.
